I believe all of us CAN and SHOULD feel our best.
Why wouldn't we make the most of this life we've been given?
Creating My Change
I left a successful career as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager in the real estate world to become an entrepreneur and full-time wellness coach. Leaving my 17-year career which had served me well for so many years was a difficult decision. I was full of fear of the unknown. Taking that leap of faith has allowed me to follow my passion to help others live healthy, well balanced lives.
Lived It Knowledge
Working long hours, traveling for business, living out of a suitcase and eating most (if not all meals) at a desk, helped me to gain an understanding of how important a wellness foundation is to our lives. With days that were full of back-to-back meetings and tight deadlines, I realized the stress that comes when work/life balance is missing.
My experience on how to continuously maintain a balance between the demands of working in the business world where people rarely "power off" and maintaining a healthy lifestyle allows me to coach clients through these same challenges.
Unique Skill Set
I've procured some best practices to build and maintain a solid wellness foundation including nourishing our bodies, managing stress, finding time to exercise and getting enough sleep. Using these tools, I coach clients to find strength and motivation for committing to a healthy life style and more importantly stick to it. I empower my clients to create new habits for a life that is balanced with better health, energy, and preventative well being.
In addition to the first-hand experience I've gained, I graduated from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition (http://www.integrativenutrition.com) as a certified health and wellness coach.
I've coached hundreds of private clients, lead stress management, nutrition and well-being workshops with Brown University, the United Way, KoKo Fit Clubs, BlackRock Financial, Cambridge Associates, The Phoenix Companies, Athleta, and Year-Up. For the past 11 years, I've taught fitness classes at clubs in Boston.
I take an integrated approach with my clients. Together, we focus on the entire picture. Living well is about much more than eating the right foods and exercising. Of course, nutrition and exercise provide an important foundation. However, we will also ensure that you are properly managing stress, building healthy relationships, and overall living a life that's in balance.
Everything in our lives is connected. Have you ever noticed that if you're really stressed or overwhelmed in an aspect of your life that other areas suffer? Maybe you're so stressed that you're not sleeping. In turn, when we're low on sleep, it's difficult to make the best food choices. Can you see that when one aspect of our lives is off balance, it trickles through to the others? Finding balance in all aspects of our wellness translates into a full, helathy, and well-lived life. I will work with you to find the right balance for your life.
Have you ever tried to make a change in your life but were too overwhelmed to take the first step? Were you unsure if what you were doing would lead to success? Creating change is hard work, especially when going through it alone. Since habits encompass about 40% of our daily lives, it's easier to stick with what you know. With support and accountability, anything is possible. Together, we will create healthy habits that are easily intergrated into your life. I stand by my clients every step of the way in creating-long term, sustainable, and meaningful change. That's done by making small changes that fit into your life.
